Leap Day was my Last Day
Suzanne, Meredith, Me, Dena and Kari

I will miss seeing you girls every day! Thanks for my goodbye lunch!
I had my last day of work today. It was very surreal. I got to work around 11 because of my Dr's appointment and then we had lunch with our Salomon vendor. After lunch we walked around Aspen Grove shopping center and headed back to the office around 1. I wrapped up a little bit of work and then walked around to say my goodbyes. Almost everyone was already gone or in a meeting so I wasn't able to say goodbye to very many people. I know that I will see them all still so I wasn't too worried about saying goodbye. I left the office around 3:30 and headed down to Highlands Ranch. I treated myself to a pedicure and got my hair cut. I figured I should get that done before Lincoln comes and I am home bound for a while. If Lincoln doesn't come until his due date, March 11th I will have a week at home all to myself. I plan to do some sleeping, reading and nesting! A bunch of my girlfriends that are mothers told me to take really long showers because those will soon be a thing of the past.
Dr Appt. #13 2-29-08 38 Weeks Pregnant
I was able to see Dr Hoch at this visit but I waited for quite a while in the room. Don't you just love sitting naked in those cold rooms waiting for the Dr! I get to do it once a week now. Dr Long had her baby on Thursday so they are down one Dr. Lincoln is still head down and I am still at 1cm dilation. The Dr said that if she had to guess she would say that he is coming the week of his due date. She said that everything is tracking right on schedule for him to come at 40 weeks. I have had a few contractions and she said that my uterus was trying to push him down and get him ready. I would love to have him out of my ribs! I think he is going to be a long baby. I won't let them give me an estimate of his weight because I don't want to worry about that. I have heard so many horror stories about how off they are on their projections and then it just causes the women to worry. I figure I have to push him out whether he is 6 pounds or 10!
I am very anxious to see my son for the first time and I would love to carry him in my arms rather than in my ribs!

Dr. Appt #12 2-22-08
I saw Dr Long-the pregnant Dr this time. Dr Hoch was running late again. They checked my blood pressure, Lincoln's heart rate and everything was good. She checked to make sure he was still head down and he is. She did my first dilation test and she said that I was 1cm dilated. Very exciting!

Lincoln's Nursery
My mom came out last weekend to help me finish up Lincoln's nursery. We sorted through all of the gifts he received from the three baby showers. We washed and put away all of his clothes and blankets. I was so amazed at how many clothes he already has. We had a few more large items to pick up so we went to Babies R Us and spent all of my gift cards.
Eli spent the weekend putting his pack and play, swing, stroller, and bouncer seat together.
Thanks mom for all of your help. You are so amazing! You achieve more in one weekend then most people do in a week! I love you so much.

Dr. Appt #11 2-14-08 36 weeks Pregnant
I got to see Dr. Hoch again, imagine that seeing the same Dr two appointments in a row! Lincoln's heart rate is good and it was an overall good check up. I had the bacteria B test done and they should have the results by my next visit. She checked for dilation and I am not dilated yet. She thought she felt his head but she did an ultrasound to be sure. Praise God he is head down and ready to go. She said that he should stay that way from here on out so that is exciting!

Dr. Appt # 10 35 Weeks Pregnant 2-6-08
I had a Dr.'s appointment this morning. I finally got to meet Dr. Hoch the non pregnant female Dr of the practice. She was very nice. It was a short and sweet appointment. Lincoln's heart beat is good and he is head down, so that is good news. I am going to go weekly from here on out. She said that they would measure my cervix next time to see if I am dialated at all. It is all very real with only 5 weeks to go.
